Inside shoe measurement
After the supply with a custom-made diabetic adapted bedding, we will conduct an inside shoe measurement for our self-control and the responsible health insurance. In the process we scale the strength which affects the feet during the going with a system of pressure measurement. Therewith we can check if pressure marks, and present lesions are balanced enough.
The inside shoe measurement is an important control procedure for us and our customers because they often can´t give us feedback about pressure and pain because of the loss of sensitivity.

Definitions
Comfortable shoes
Comfortable shoes are conventional ready-to-wear shoes which means you can buy them at our local store without a prescription. These shoes are proper for our custom-made insoles because of their removable footbed. They are available in many different shapes and sizes. They are considered for the risk groups zero and one.
Diabetes adapted bedding
The diabetes adapted bedding is a special kind of custom-made insole. First, we create a model of your foot which acts as a prototype during the production process: Pressure marks will be relieved and bedded softly.
Diabetes protective boots
These are special shoes for people which suffering with diabetes. They offer enough place for individual constructed diabetes adapted beddings, command a good padding and doesn´t have internal stitching to avoid pressure marks. Furthermore, diabetes protective boots offer adequate and more place for the toes as casual shoes and have a counter to maintain the heel. We cooperate with different companies so we will find a convenient design for you.
Orthopedic custom-made shoes
We will produce orthopedic custom-made shoes for you if a health care with diabetes protective boots isn´t any more possible. This is the case if you can´t wear normal shoes due to deformations or unnormal proportions. The orthopedic shoes will be produced over an individual last.
Diabetes foot syndrome (DFS)
The term “DFS” includes all diseases which develop due to diabetes. Frequently these are paresthesia, circulatory disorder, badly curative wounds and progressive fetal damage of articulations and bones.
Polyneuropathy (PNP)
Polyneuropathy means that the nerves are aggrieved. Thereby the transfer of impulses to the brain are limited or non-existent. That means in the case of diabetes a loss of sensitivity in legs and feet. Due to that pain and pressure marks are often not noticed. Also, a little stone in the shoe can be inconspicuous and can result in an ulcer or a lesion. Ulcer
An ulcer (also referred to as an abscess) is a skin defect which can last till the undermost dermal layers. In many cases the ulcer does not heal very well and slowly. In the last resort an ulcer tends to result in an amputation. That´s because prevention is so important.
Diabetes neuropathic osteo-arthropathy (DNOAP)
The term “DNOAP” describes noninfectious fetal damage of bones and joints because of an undersupply of nerves and blood vessels. Often the feet are attacked and the DNOAP is equated with the Charcot-foot. Charcot-foot is a grave special type of diabetes food syndrome which leads to fractures and deformations of the foot bones.
